According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the median annual wage for massage therapists was $46,910 in May 2021 or $22.55 per hour. The projected percent change in massage employment from 2021 to 2031 is 20% which is much faster than the average.

What’s the licensing process?
In Virginia, a license is required to perform Massage. After completion of an approved Massage Therapy program (RSA), students may take the MBLEx test and receive a massage therapist license.
